Windows 10: How do I select the mic in Phone Link

I took a call on my PC but the caller couldn't hear me well. It must be using the PC laptop mic. I don't see anything in settings to select a different mic webcam.Is there a way to do this?Thanks.

Windows Phone Camera App: Recording Video with headset microphone instead of internal mic

The phone only uses the built-in mic when recording videos on the Camera app. If you want to use an external mic when recording videos, it is best that you send this suggestion through Feedback Hub so our developers can work on it. To send a feedback on
your phone, you can follow the steps below:

1. Go to All apps, search for the Feedback
   Hub app.
2. Open the Menu icon at the top left side.
3. Select Feedback, then tap the Add button
   (+) at the top right side.
4. Select Suggestion and provide the details needed in the box.
   
5. Select the right category and then submit.

USB Mic Problems.

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

 

Mic not working in Phone Link. Any suggestions?

Phone Link simply does not appear in the apps list, so enabling access is not possible. Why?

The app is premature, clearly not been thought through fully or tested properly.

There is no option for selecting the sound source, so if there were two mics (and there are several possibilities where that would be true) a choice could not be made. Why? Most programs using sound give that option, even if there is only one, as a formality. The choice exists in Settings | System | Sounds | Input, but plainly it is not recognized or honoured now. Why?

Audacity can see it, Zoom and Skype can see it.

A big step foward to get to make the connection to the iPhone, long overdue, but please finish the job.
