Windows 10: How do I remove this "trending searches" window from my taskbar search window?

Just recently, Windows 10 has pushed a new widget on my taskbar search window called "Trending searches". I have spent about half an hour trying to figure out how to remove this to no avail. I just want this thing gone. I don't want a constant insight into the news. I don't want "korea stampede" or "bridge collapse in india" on my screen every time I try to do something in windows. I try to avoid the news on purpose. This is literally the last feature I would ever ask for and it's been challenging to remove. Please tell me how to remove it.

Microsoft developers DO read feedback from customers that comes in via the Feedback Hub, so that is a great way to share your thoughts on how to better serve you as a customer.
