Windows 10: How do I log into laptop when the fingerprint and pin don’t work?

I cannot log into my Lenovo Laptop with my fingerprint or pin. I can’t authenticate because my phone # tied to the account was cloned and is inactive. I can use my email but had not installed the authentication app yet, and now cannot because I need to log in. I need someone to speak to that can help me get past this issue. * Changed to a question* Moved from Office/other/unknown/other

PIN and FingerPrint not working

XPS 15 user having the same problem as those above (fingerprint and PIN not working). Windows Hello was working fine, but a recent update seems to have caused an issue with PIN registration and devices that have the fingerprint scanner. My windows desktop
has no issues logging in with the PIN, only the XPS 15 laptop.

Hopefully Microsoft can come up with a fix for this soon.

 

Unable to Access Windows - PIN and Fingerprint Issues

I am experiencing issues accessing my Windows account due to problems with the PIN and fingerprint login. Here are the steps I followed and the issues encountered:

1. I entered an incorrect PIN several times.
   
2. I decided to change the PIN. I successfully logged into my account. and attempted to change the PIN, but an error occurred during the process.
   
3. Now, I am unable to log in using the PIN, and it is blocked for 2 hours.
   
4. I am offered the option to use fingerprint authentication, but it does not work.
   
5. I am not given the option to log in using my password or account credentials, even though I logged in with them when attempting to change the PIN.
   

How can I regain access to Windows?

Fingerprint scanner not working on my laptop after changing to windows

My fingerprint scanner/login was working until recently and I am not sure how to fix it. I upgraded to windows 10 on my laptop from windows 8 and then the scanner stopped working. When i go the settings/sign-in options the ability to set-up the fingerprint icon is there, however after i click on set-up and get started I don't get the screen option to input my pin. I have already set-up a pin which i use to log onto my computer. I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this issue. I have attached screen-shots of the three steps.
