Windows 10: how do i keep the same display settings every time i unplug my laptop

i only have a monitor i use at home and when i go to work i take my laptop with me. i usually have it set to extend displays but when i plug my laptop back in it reverts back to duplicate screens. is there any way i can fix this? im on windows 11 and i dont want to have to fix my settings every time i plug it back in. this wasnt as issue on my old windows 10 laptop and im using the exact same setup too with a new laptop

In regards to your concern, since the second screen can't detect the display settings of your other laptop, we suggest that you perform the steps below and see if it helps:

• Go to Settings.
• Click on System.
• Under System, choose Display.
• Under Multiple displays, click on Duplicate these displays and apply.
