  1. How do I get OneDrive to stop holding my Desktop hostage?

Hello I am going off of 8 hours with Microsoft support and still can’t find a solution so I am a bit tired right now. My issue is I had to download OneDrive for my college work. When I downloaded it a personal account showed up on my laptop as well. This personal account then I guess downloaded my desktop and a few other folders previously saved to my laptop to the OneDrive and now every time I try to solve this issue and get my desktop back to being saved under my laptop it won’t let me. For example I have tried to delete a folder on my desktop and I get an error message about the cloud file

    :)

Doesn't say.... sometimes it lists as "System" but that's rare now... its mainly the totals aren't adding up.

  3. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
