Windows 10: How do I get my username to save so I only have to enter my password after my PC wakes from...

I recently got a new laptop at work and whenever it sleeps, I need to reenter my username and password to log back in. I do not mind needing to enter my password, I actually prefer this, but do not want to have to type in my username every time. With my previous laptop, I would have to enter my username and password upon start up and if my laptop went to sleep, only a password field would be required to log back in with my name displayed below the user icon. With this new laptop, "other user" is displayed below the user icon with both a username and password field populated.This also occurs wh

• On the Windows search bar, type in Netplwiz and select the top most result.This window gives you access to Windows user accounts and many password controls.
• Right at the top is a checkmark next to the option labeled Users must enter a username and password to use this computer.
  Uncheck that.
• Click Apply and it will prompt you for your current password. Enter it twice. The next time you reboot, or your PC wakes up from a nap, you’ll no longer need to type in your password.

Hi,

To remove your login screen on Windows 10, kindly follow these steps:

• On the search box, type netplwiz and press Enter.
• A new window labeled as User Accounts will appear, listing all user accounts. Click on your user account and uncheck Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.
• Enter your account password and click OK.
• Reboot your PC and check if your new settings has been saved.
