Windows 10: How do I fix having heavy ping spikes in games?

Since I installed the most recent Windows update, I have noticed that I can only play an online game for at least 30 seconds until I receive ping spikes as high as 1500 that end up disconnecting me from the game I was playing. I do not know if I am getting a DDoS attack or if it is a software issue. I restarted my PC many times, checked drivers for updates, and troubleshooted my Internet connection.

Hello, so I have been facing major ping spikes in game I have ran most of the tests to see what your ping is and most of them are above 100 how do I fix this and should I reset Windows?

Hi Dan. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

You could always shrink C in Disk Mgmt and Clean Install WIndows 10 in a Dual Boot to try it on that laptop: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki...

This way you can decide if you want to keep it on the PC, go back and forth, use both, or use one and keep the other in reserve. If you decide you want to keep it I'll show you how to still get a free WIndows 10 license, just skip the key during intsall.
