I need help with unauthorized credit card charges. help.microsoft.com is completely useless.

Microsoft does not have the authority to verify ownership of the credit card or to investigate the financial details tied to another person's account. However, when your credit card company raises a dispute, Microsoft will cooperate with them through the official dispute resolution process. This ensures that any unauthorized transactions are properly investigated and resolved while adhering to legal and privacy standards.

 

How to dispute charges on credit card that don't appear in billing history?

Contact your credit card issuer and tell them that someone unknown to you has made an unauthorized charge on your credit card account. Do it ASAP, because the thief will continue to be able to use your credit card account until you shut them down.
