    How do I disable Windows Defender and Antimalware Service Executable on Windows 10 permanently?


    I would like to disable windows defender and antimalware service executable and I have watched many videos on disabling it, but none of them worked for me to disable it permanently.

    Disable Antimalware Service Executable for Windows 11 (not 10)

    As the title suggests I am looking to disable the Antimalware Service Executable application, specifically for Windows 11. The solutions for Windows 10 are outdated and I have not found any that speak to Windows 11 specifically. It seems I cannot share images at this time, so I will do my best to convey.

    1. Antimalware Service Executable appears as a Background Process in the Task Manager, generally is noticeable by the amount of memory it consumes.

    2. Registry location in question is found by following these steps:

    a. WIN+R

    b. Search [regedit] (Opens Registry Editor)

    c. Navigate to the following path: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender

    I had success disabling (1) above within Windows 10 by doing the following:

    1. Right click Windows Defender folder

    2. Choose DWORD 32-bit

    3. Name as "DisableAntiSpyware"

    4. Set the value to 1

    That file stayed even after restarting my CPU, but I notice when I follow the same steps for Windows 11 that there is no effect, and furthermore the file "DisableAntiSpyware" is removed upon restarting the PC.

    I understand the dangers of not having an antimalware software, whether Windows Defender or a 3rd party option, and I am aware installing a 3rd party product could turn Windows Defender off.

    I am seeking a solution to run my PC without any antimalware for Windows 11 just as I was able to for Windows 10.
