How can I print a Half Sheet (5.5 x 8.5 inch) paper in Excel Office 365

    Hi MarshaTravis,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps, to print a Half Sheet paper in Excel.

    1. Open the Excel Spreadsheet.
    2. Go to File, click on Print.
    3. Under the Print Settings, select the option "Custom Scaling".
    4. Then select the option "Custom Scaling Options".
    5. Under Page tab, select the option "Adjust to:" Change the value to 50%.
    6. Click OK, and try to print the Excel paper.

    Hope it helps,

How do I delete one sheet at a time in my Excel spreadsheet?

Windows Phone 8 - "Can't Edit Workbook" Excel Spreadsheet

Just got a Lumia 625 with WP8. It was an upgrade from an LG Optimus 7 (WP7.8) phone.

I was syncing a simple spreadsheet via Skydrive on the LG for months - successfully - and, after the upgrade to the Lumia, it was also working - at first. I made a few (very minor) edits to one of the three worksheets in the workbook using the desktop
version of Excel 2010. After the update sync'd to Skydrive I opened the revised file on the phone and was greeted with the "can't edit ..." message. I immediately tried it on the old LG and got the same message so it wasn't specific to the phone's version
of mobile Excel (14 on the LG, 15 on the Lumia). The file was also fine to reopen in destop Excel 2010 and in the Excel WebApp - no trouble making changes in either of those apps.

I tried some of the suggestions in this thread and others that I found in different forums and threads(edit one cell in the file and resave in WebApp, etc) but nothing worked. Seems lots of folks have run into this and no one has a definitive answer for
it. I finally decided to start making selective edits to the workbook to try and narrow down the possible problem spots. I found through my trial and error method that one of the worksheets in the workbook was the culprit. If I deleted that sheet and saved
the file with the other two sheets still in it the resulting file was editable on the phone.

Now that I knew it was that one sheet I focused exclusively on it. I worked through one step at a time, removing formulas, formats, date fields, print ranges and, eventually, all the data and tried each resulting file to see if the problem disappeared.
    No luck.

Finally, going back to my original file I selected the contents of the entire "bad" sheet (clicked the top left corner of the sheet to select-all) and copied it into a new worksheet in the same workbook. I then deleted the defective sheet and saved the
    file.

That did it! I now had a fully phone-editable workbook. I did have to manually edit some references in the workbook because the new sheet I created had a different name and some of the old references between the 3 sheets were no longer valid. As I said,
it was a pretty simple spreadsheet so it didn't take long to do that.

Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing what was actually wrong with that particular "bad" sheet. During my troubleshooting I eventually removed all contents and formatting that I could see, including renaming the sheet and it was still "uneditable". I'm
suspicious that it could've had something to do with a print range that I had set. My original file showed three sheets plus a "print area" when I would display the sheet selection screen on the phone (4 entries on that list). During my original change to
the worksheet that started the whole fiasco, I moved that whole print range to a different spot on the sheet and the uneditable workbook that resulted only showed the three sheets and no longer listed the "print area" (sorry - I don't remember the exact wording
that was shown but it was definitely indicating a print area or range). My fully functional file also now only shows the three sheets and doesn't list a print area at all.

Obviously, if you have a very complicated spreadsheet with lots of links to other sheets or external workbooks having to redo the links manually as I did would be a real pain. Hopefully my experience helps someone else.
