  1. How do I align a very large monitor with smaller ones for smooth mouse transition?

I have a very large monitor with a limited screen resolution. I also have several other monitors connected that are smaller. The ones to the right are stacked and end up being the same height of the big one. I have the monitors positioned using the display settings the best that I can. The resolution is set on the highest, recommended setting. When I move the mouse from the two smaller monitors on the right to the large one on the left, there is a dead zone at the top and bottom because the large one only connects to the middle of where the right monitors meet. Is there a way to adjust t

How to align Portrait and Landscape monitor, so that mouse doesn’t jump up or down?

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

We understand you want to align multiple monitors in such a way that, the mouse doesn’t jump up or down while moving between them.

To do this you will have to alignment of the monitor in Settings as per your requirement. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + I, to open
      Settings
      .
    2. Click on System and select
      Display
      from the left pane.
    3. Now, under Rearrange your displays, click on any one of the monitor, hold the mouse button and drag it to align it.

You can refer the screenshot below:

However, if you want to move from the bottom of the Portrait monitor to the Landscape monitor, you will have to drag the mouse upwards. Moving the mouse sideways from the bottom will not allow you to move between the monitors.

    How to micro align monitors

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

As one your monitor is in portrait mode and the other monitor is in landscape mode, the relative positon of the screen will the different because of the vertical screen size, you can make the mouse transition from one onscreen to
another smooth my change the settings.

Try the method below and check if this helps you.

    Method 1: Change screen positon.

    1. Navigate to Settings > System > display.
    2. Click on the screen you want to change the position of and drag the screen.

    3. Click on Apply to see the changes.

Method 2: Change the screen position relative to the monitor edge.

If you are only try to change the screen positon for a single monitor, relative to your monitor edge, you can change the settings from the monitor itself.

On your computer monitor there will be few buttons, click on the menu and search for Display settings, you will find Vertical Position and Horizontal position, the menu settings depends on the monitor manufacturer, you can change
this values to align the screen.

If you still face the issue, reply to this post with more information.

    Hope it helps.

How do I align a very large monitor with smaller ones for smooth mouse transition?

How to adjust multi monitor cursor transition

Hello ladies and gents of the forum. As the title suggest, I'd like to know how to adjust cursor behavior when transitioning between monitors.

I'm just built my first (2) pc(s), and am trying to set up monitors for them both.

pc1 has 2 1080p monitors at 24 and 27 inches. Windows seems to think they are the same size and as a result moving the cursor horizontally from one screen to another results in a change in height, which is slightly annoying.

pc2 has a 24in 1080p monitor and a 28 in 2160p one. Windows seems to the 2160p one is physically double the size and will not let my mouse onto the smaller monitor unless I transition from the bottom half of the larger one, which as one can imagine is more
    frustrating still.

Ideally I would like to be able to keep cursor's height (in the real world) when transitioning screens when possible, and when out of range have the cursor "bumped" down to the top of the smaller screen. Failing that, I'd like to at least have pc2 behave
like pc1, that is to say at least allow screen transition along the entire edge of the bigger screen.

Apologies if this isn't the right topic. My thinking is that this is a personalization issue, and I was not able to find one specifically related to displays.

Further apologies if this is a "why didn't you just google (bing?) it" question. I did try to no avail, mostly due to not knowing what to search for.
