How can I view calendar events via the taskbar in Windows 11?

I would like to be able to view calendar events via the taskbar in Windows 11. There used to be a calendar widget that made this possible but I can't find that now. I'm using the new Outlook since the old mail and calendar apps are gone for me. I would appreciate any tips.

    :)

  2. How do I view my upcoming events/appointments/commitments in Windows 11 taskbar?

On Windows 10 I was able to see my upcoming appointments in the calendar widget in the bottom right on the taskbar.

I've updated to Windows 11 and can't seem to be able to see these events anymore, which makes the calendar widget completely useless.

Is there a setting I need to change to see those events on the widget, or how else can I see my upcoming appointments at a glance?

Going into Outlook then going to calendar and sometimes having to change the view is too many steps, I want quick and easy visibility like I used to have in Windows 10.

  3. WINDOWS 11 - Doesn't show my calendar on TaskBar

    Dear Community Member,

I understand that you've been facing an issue with the calendar not displaying when you click on the time in the taskbar on Windows 11. This can indeed be frustrating, especially if you rely on the calendar for your work. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve this issue:

    1. Restart the Windows Explorer process:
      • Right-click on the taskbar and select "Task Manager" from the context menu.
      • In the "Processes" tab, locate "Windows Explorer" and right-click on it.
      • Choose "Restart" from the menu.
      • Wait for the taskbar and desktop to refresh, then check if the calendar now appears when you click on the time.
    2. Check the taskbar settings:
      • Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar and select "Taskbar settings."
      • In the settings window, scroll down to the "Notification area" section and click on "Turn system icons on or off."
      • Ensure that the "Calendar" option is set to "On."
      • If it was already enabled, toggle it off and on again, then check if the calendar appears.
    3. Update Windows 11:
      • Make sure you have the latest updates installed for Windows 11.
      • Go to "Settings" by pressing Win + I on your keyboard.
      • Click on "Windows Update" and select "Check for updates."
      • If updates are available, download and install them.
      • After the update process is complete, restart your computer and see if the calendar is now visible.
    4. Create a new user account:
      • Sometimes, issues can be specific to a user account. Creating a new account can help determine if the problem is account-related.
      • Go to "Settings" and click on "Accounts."
      • Select "Family & other users" from the left sidebar.
      • Under "Other users," click on "Add account."
      • Follow the prompts to create a new user account.
      • Log in to the new account and check if the calendar works correctly.
I hope one of these suggestions helps you resolve the calendar display issue on your Windows 11 system. Let us know if you have any further questions or if there's anything else we can assist you with.

  4. How can I view calendar events via the taskbar in Windows 11?

How do I view my upcoming events/appointments/commitments in Windows 11 taskbar?

Hi, My name is Ahmet, and I am an Independent Advisor. I hope you're well, I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue. I'd be more than happy to assist you.

You can follow some steps to see upcoming events in the calendar widget in Windows 11:

Open Widgets: First, open the widget menu by clicking the icon in the right corner of the taskbar. If you don't see the calendar widget, click "Widgets", select "Calendar" from the drop-down menu and add it.

Accessing Widget Settings: After adding the calendar widget, access the widget's settings by clicking the settings icon in the lower right corner.

Adding Events: In the settings window, there should be an option to "Add Events" or similar. Find this option and select the calendar account you want to add events to. If you have already added your calendar account, you can skip this step.

Calendar Settings: After selecting your calendar account, select which types of events you want to display in the widget to display your events. This step allows you to select your specific calendars or event types.

Confirm and Exit Settings: Once you have set your settings, there should be an appropriate button or icon to confirm. After confirming, close the settings window and you should see the updated appearance of your calendar widget.

After following these steps, you should be able to view your upcoming events in the calendar widget in Windows 11. If you still can't see your events despite following these steps, it may also be worth checking that your computer is up to date and installing updates.

Let me know how it goes and hopefully it will help.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Yours sincerely,

    Ahmet
