Windows 10: How can I type Arabic numbers on Windows 10?

Hello,


I'm an English speaker and recently started learning Arabic. I installed the Arabic language pack and can now type Arabic letters but it's not working for numbers. Numbers are always displayed in the English format.


To see what numbers I want please look at this wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Arabic_numerals. There is a picture of a clock. I want to type numbers in that format.


I searched the web for a solution and found a few suggestions but they don't work for me. For example I tried changing the display format for numbers: Settings > Time & Language > Region > under "Regional Format" select "Arabic Jordan". That changed the way the time and date are displayed in the toolbar but I still can't type Arabic numbers.


I also found specific solutions for Microsoft Excel but I'm working with a Google Docs document and with Notepad. The Excel solution is not applicable in those. In the future I might have to use other applications. Therefore I'm looking for a general solution for Windows 10.


Since there are 300 million Arabic speakers in the world there must be an easy solution to this, right?

• When you type, do you not see the numbers in Arabic?
• Did you check if the issue persists in another account?

We have reproduced the issue from our end and we found that the number layout will not change to Arabic after downloading the keyboard language on the PC.

English display language cant write Arabic numbers, Except users used Arabic display language they can write Arabic numbers , but i want

Typing in Arabic On E71 With Arabic Keyboard

Hi, I have E71 with arabic Keyboard in addition to English.

1- Some of the English keys are incorrectly mapped like the "." which is written when i press ":" ...

Any clue to fix this?

2- How can I acces the arabic keys? when in sms and choose writing language arabic is not diaplyed, but italian...

how can i add arabic to list and how to access the arabic keys?

in office dicitionary, i have arabic in the listm but can't type arabic.
