Windows 10: How can I solve the issue of no power option available?

Hi I don't have the power option available on my computer. On the top of that I tried power troubleshooting and there is no option for power troubleshooting. I tried to do it through the task manager but I don't have the option of task manager as well. Whatever I try to do it simply asks me to contact administrator and does not provide me with any further options. What should I do in that regard please advise.

I performed the two steps as suggested in the linked thread.

1. I ran the System File Checker. It found a few corrupt files and replaced them but did not solve the main issue.
   
2. I went through the security policies (had to figure out how to enable this because it wasn't available on my computer) and made sure the right users are added to the policy. This did not do anything to solve the problem.

Still struggling here.

About your concern with Windows 10 power options, applied settings may not be recognized due to several reasons. We suggest that you run the Windows 10 Power troubleshooter. Here are the steps to follow:

• Go to Search, type troubleshoot, and click Troubleshooting.
• Under System and Security, click Improve power usage.
• The troubleshooting wizard will automatically start. It will try to solve any detected issues.

I understand that your computer is not shutting down completely. To solve this problem I suggest that you perform the steps below:

Step 1:

Change the function of the off button. To do this, follow the steps outlined below:

1. On the Desktop, simultaneously press the Windows + R keys to open Run;

2. At Run, type "powercfg.cpl" and click Ok, to open the Power Options;

3. Click on Choose the function of the power button, change the item When I press the power button to Off;

4. Click Save Changes.

Step 2:

Disable third party software and services from system startup. They may be running in the background, making it difficult to shut down the computer. For more information, the article below:

Step 3:

Disable quick system startup. To do this, perform the steps below:

1. On the Desktop, simultaneously press the Windows + X keys, then click on Power Options;

2. Under Power Options, click Choose the power button function;

3. Then click on Change settings not currently available;

4. Deselect the Turn on quick start (recommended) item, click Save changes.
