Windows 10: How can I resolve the "no sound" issues on my Desktops PC

1 I no longer have "Sound" after unplugging all assembled devices for relocation. After reassembling my PC, no sound. All suggested attempts failed. HP Assistant Mfr.; Microsoft Assistant; online help; All available updates including "Device Manager" I've had sound including windows sound / no access since my purchase 2 yrs.. No access to turning on/off monitor speakers. My PC is refurbished; sold by Amazon. There are other issues but, sound from my PC takes priority. I will appreciate all help to resolve this issue.Thanks; Daniel

No Sound!!

I am having issues with sound on my mom's Acer desktop PC. I have troubleshooted the sound, and did as it suggested to do by turning off the sound effects. It's an Acer Aspire XC-603G that is listed in my specs. Where can I find an updated driver for it for this computer? It uses Realtek High Definition Audio.

 

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

The change on the sound quality of your device after the recent update can be related to an incompatible driver. As an initial step to resolve your concern, we suggest that you update your driver by following these steps:

• Type Device Manager in the search box.
• Press Enter.
• Click the drop-down arrow for Sound, video and game controllers to view the driver.
• Right-click the installed sound driver and select Properties.
• Click the Driver tab.
• Select Update Driver to update your sound driver.
• If the driver is updated, you can reinstall the existing driver by repeating steps
  1 to 5.
• This time, select Uninstall.
• After uninstalling the driver, restart your device to automatically reinstall the driver.
