    How can I remove a malicious file that keeps me from accessing my work environment?


    Somehow, I got a program inside my program files for SRW which is my secure work environment and I need to remove it. None of my virus stuff or malware SW even sees it! I need it removed or I'm gonna go broke. Anybody have ideas?

    I inadvertently removed a file I wanted to keep in Quick access

    Recently I removed an individual file from Quick Access, by right clicking on it and selecting “Remove from Quick access”.

    I was in the File Explorer (Quick Access), under the “Recent files” portion (bottom) of the window.

    I do this frequently in order to only keep the files in this list that I commonly use.

    However this time I inadvertently removed a file I wanted to keep in Quick access.

    Is there a way to undo this action or to replace/restore the ability to see the file once again in the above mentioned list?

    I am using Windows 10 (upgraded from windows 7).

    I hope my question makes sense.

    Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

    Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

    • I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.


    • Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.
    That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

    Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.
