Windows 10: How can I recover my laptop. If I type my password then showed incorrect and I can't use...

When I update my laptop then restart it the BIOS Recovery key pop up in my laptop then when I put it then continue. Then when I want to start it the PIN is not available and when I type my Password but the system said that my password is incorrect. SO I DON'T KNOW WHY MY PASSWORD IS INCORRECT THAT SOME HOW IT IS MY PASSWORD.

Laptop is telling me the password is incorrect despite it being correct

Hi I am hoping someone can help.

I recently found my old Acer Aspire E15 in storage and was hoping to recover my photos from it. From what I've gathered its running on windows 8.1.

I haven't used this laptop in 6/7 yrs, so naturally I have forgotten my password. I followed the steps of changing my Microsoft account password at account.live.com/password/reset without any issue. The new password works for everything, except trying to get into my laptop. What is baffling to me is when I check on my Microsoft account, it shows I have successfull sign in attempts on the laptop, alas, these successful attempts aren't getting me into my laptop and it still shows incorrect password. I have tried all the suggestions I could find on earlier forums. System repair, safe mode boots etc, the keyboard. But no luck. Also tried some suggestions of getting around the password to just access my files, no luck there either. As a final resort I tried to bypass my password with a USB boot, but nope the user system control still won't allow me to change my password to get into my account.

The Password is Incorrect

I have tried login in to my computer on Windows 10 but it shows password is incorrect. I have followed the steps indicated but it is still showing that the password is incorrect. Please advise.

 

Windows Password

I can use the Windows password on my Win 10 64 bit computer. I can not use it on my 32 bit laptop. It says the Windows password is incorrect when I try to enter it on the laptop. Any suggestions? I can not recover the password on the laptop.
