I'm using a core i5 Intel 10th Gen and I'm tryna share my eternal connection from my pc as a wifi host to my ohone but it says hosted network supported: no how do I activate this? cause it works for normal wifi if my pc is connected through wifi not eternal cable so I beleive my pc can do it but maybe it's just not activated?

Hi Tyler. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

Go to the PC or motherboard maker's Support Downloads web page for your exact model to update the Wifi and all other drivers, comparing to the ones presently installed in Device Manager to choose the latest or a branded instead of generic driver.

Uninstall the Wifi driver first before installing the latest as this will make sure the virtual drivers are properly updated as well

If that doesn't work then install the Intel Driver Updater to see what driver it suggests and try it: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support...

If none of those work, try these fixes for Intel Wifi Hosted Network Supported: No on Windows 11 VPN:

Report back results for each step so I know what else to suggest.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

Hosted network support not available on Surface Book2

The new wlan network cards for Windows 10 do not support the hosted network because Windows has provided the mobile hotspot feature in its place. So network adapter manufacturers no longer provide
drivers to support the hosted network.

You can still use the network hosted in Windows 10 on those old network cards where there is the appropriate driver for this feature.Read here: https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...3257/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html

    Try changing the driver manually:

    1) Go to Device Manager> Network Cards, select the card in use, choose "Update Driver"

    2) Select "Search for driver software on your computer"

    3) Select "Choose from a list of drivers available on your computer"

    4. Two or more drivers will be listed, select a different driver from the one currently used on your computer, then install it.

If you do not resolve, try to contact the manufacturer of your network card and ask if they can suggest an appropriate driver that supports the hosted network.

Otherwise you have to opt for the mobile hotspot.
