Windows 10: Hi i cant download the Realtek audio control from microsoft store.

I got new speaker and i needed to download the realtek driver for my mother board because of some other problem but in the sitefor my mother board driver,which is for ASRock B450 steel legendit says that the app will download when i open the store but nothing happens when i do.

Objective: Get Headset Microphone to Work (currently, only Headset audio works)

Brand new Turtle Beach headset, basically headphones with a built-in Mic if you aren't familiar.

I've been through this before. When you buy a Headset with a separate Audio and Microphone In Jacks (red/green etc), you need Realtek Audio Manager to tell the computer that this device is both an audio device AND a microphone. That's how I've done it successfully for YEARS. AFAIK this is the only way to get this type of Headset to work on Windows. Recently had to reinstall Windows and the Mic isn't working by default, surprise surprise. So I go to reinstall Realtek Audio Manager only to find out that it doesn't exist anymore, you have to download Realtek Audio Control/Console. I guess its a new product? Okay. I'll go to my Motherboard's Driver/Utility Page. Its not listed there. Okay, where else can I can Realtek Audio Control? Oh, its on the Microsoft store, cool I'll just download it from there. I already have several apps downloaded from there so that's no problem.

Nope. I have tried **almost** everything and the Microsoft Store refuses to let me download Realtek Audio Control SPECIFICALLY, I have no other issues downloading any other software from the Microsoft Store.

What I have tried, not necessarily in chronological order:

Totally Update Windows Update
Totally Update Microsoft Store
Repair Windows 10
Validate all protected system files
Disable IPV6
Use a different network entirely to download, including a different router and my Pixel's Hotspot
-> Clean Install Windows 10
Sign out and Sign in Microsoft Account
Check to make sure Windows is Activated (it is)
Set Region on both PC and Microsoft online account to USA
Downloaded and Installed every single driver and utility tool for my Hardware from MSI who makes my MB, yes, this includes the latest Realtek Audio *DRIVER* (not the manager/controller, as stated MSI does not offer this download yet, very strange.)
9 different REGISTRY edits all pertaining to Microsoft Store
All appropriate services running, set to automatic. (Realtek, RPC and endpoint, DCOM, Microsoft Store ETC)
Force reinstall Microsoft Store through elevated CMD and POWERSHELL prompts
Force clear cache Microsoft Store again through elevated prompts.
and probably like 10 other things i'm forgetting from fatigue

-> Advanced Audio Settings. Headset shows up fine as an audio device, absolutely no Microphone inputs listed. But this is typical for Red/Green line in jacks style Headsets. I prefer them for the enhanced audio quality from a dedicated line, but WINDOWS HATES THEM. Again, for years I've had to tell Realtek Audio Manager that these style of Headsets are two different devices at once, otherwise no microphone input shows up until that is configured.

Still can't get the Store to download this one app. Again, I have no other issues downloading anything else, tested just now, instagram for example downloads and installs fine in about 3 seconds total. So yeah.

I've never posted on a forum asking for help, I always solve every computer issue through trying every single possible solution/fix until one works. But this time I am beat. I've viewed close to 45 pages detailing this issue and tried every single fix categorically through sheer will and nicotine.

Anyway, its been like eight hours. I'm hungry, tired, and super frustrated. I just wanna have a working microphone.
Oh yeah !***! I've tested this Headset with other devices (not windows) and it works great, sounds great, plug and play, no problems, so its not the Headset or Mic. Thanks Windows. I hate that the only place I can get this critical piece of software is from the Microsoft Store. That seems like a design flaw. and BTW the reviews on this app (Realtek Audio Control) are almost all 1 stars, go check it out, a lot of people can't download it, its helping to know I'm not the only one having issues with downloading this.

BTW the App is hidden by default on the Microsoft Store, you can't just search for it. I'm using this link to open Realtek Audio Control on the Store.

Thanks for your help, I've been with Microsoft for double digits at this point, but this is the one problem that has me totally stumped. Help me or I'll switch back to Linux! lol.

Realtek Audio Control from MS store requires a UAD/DCH based Realtek audio driver, which is at least version 6.0.1.83xx something (ex. 6.0.1.8348 & 6.0.1.8356 from late January 2018 and newer) AND supplied by the PC manufacturer of your computer.

your Realtek HD audio driver version is
too old to be using Realtek Audio Control, Gholyaa.

ask the OEM or PC manufacturer of your machine to see if a Realtek UAD driver is available.
