Windows 10: Help Migrating Windows 10 from SSD to M.2 and Upgrading to 11

Hello,I have a two part question/problem:I would like to migrate my OS Windows 10 OEM from my C: drive which is a 500GB SSD MBR to my 1TB PCIe NVME M.2 GPT drive. I have never attempted this and do not know how.I then would like to upgrade to Windows 11. I have already tried doing this before deciding to migrate and found that I cannot because I mistakenly set up my C: drive as MBR rather than GPT. I ran into issues disabling CSM in BIOS because of this. If I migrate my OS to the GPT M.2 will this resolve this issue, allowing me to disable CSM and upgrade from there? Should I change my C:

Planning to add a NVme M.2 SSD in my laptop and want to migrate my windows 11 from HDD to SSD

Hello, about 18 months ago I purchased a HP 15s laptop which came with preinstalled windows 10 and also with free upgrade to windows 11 and I chose its HDD variant, however few days ago I accidently damaged my HDD and it started making some loud weird noises, sometimes it doesn't even works properly so now I am planning to add a NVme M.2 SSD in my computer and using HDD as a secondary storage so that I don't loose my windows if my HDD got corrupt and also SSD with increase my laptop speed. I want to migrate my windows 11 from HDD to SSD but I don't know how to do it and if it is possible then Will I loose my original licensed windows 11 while doing so?

 

SATA SSD and M.2 SSD

i was with a ssd sata and now i have ssd m.2, i formatted and put windows 11 in m.2, but i did not remove the ssd sata, i can only boot windows with the ssd sata connected, if i remove it windows does not boot to m.2



obs: windows was installed on m.2 but the ssd sata was still connected, but windows was 100% installed on m.2, is there any way I can set m.2 as primary? (when i removed the ssd sata it did not recognize windows)

Windows 11 BSOD During Setup on M.2 SSD

I think I found the fix. As mentioned, I did upgrade my PSU, but I kind of doubt that was the actual fix. I did find a setting in the UEFI options though which was set to PEG for PCIe graphics instead of IGD for integrated graphics. I can't say for sure if I changed that accidentally at some point, or if it was always PEG. I also can't say for sure which of the two fixed it for me, but I can confirm I have Windows 11 installed from the same thumb drive, to my Kingston KC3000 1TB M.2 SSD. I have run Windows update and installed a few programs. Zero BSOD.

• Installed a new PSU. My old power supply was 11 years old. Upgraded to a Corsair RM650x.
  
• Checked UEFI settings and in the Graphics settings, I found an option for IGD/PEG which was set to PEG. I changed this to IGD.
  

Hope this helps! Thanks everyone for the input. Not sure why the PEG setting might cause the BSOD, but perhaps because the M.2 share the PCIe bus, whereas the SATA SSD do not?
