Windows 10: Headset with microphone and a camera with a microphone problem

If you have a camera with a microphone hooked up to your pc and you also had a headset with a microphone hooked up to your pc could your microphone with your headset stop working with your headset? Like stopped working as in when you go to the control panel> Hardware and sound> Sound> and find out that your microphone to your headset says un plugged? Could that be because of the microphone of your camera? If so how does that happen, and if so that is true how could you fix that microphone that says un plugged?

Camera and Microphone Privacy

This issue occurs due to permission issue, driver issue, license for an app is out of sync with the license installed on the computer or if the app is not updated. To give permission to Camera and Microphone app, you may follow
these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Privacy.
• Look for Camera, make sure that “Let apps use my camera” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your camera as well.
• Go back to Privacy and select Microphone, make sure that “Let apps use my microphone” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your microphone as well.

Headset Microphone Problem

Hello,

I've recently came across some issues with my headset's microphone.
I'm using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and Realtek HD Audio Manager.

The problems are the following:

- microphone recording volume is very low
- the max volume (in Realtek Manager) that I can set is about 60%, any higher and I sound like a robot
- it worked fine till a few days ago
- came across this issue before but it kinda went away on itself, sometimes the mic boost would activate and that would screw up my voice.

Any ideas?

 

Headset/Microphone background reduction; suggestions

There's a solution to this out there, but I cannot pinpoint the right search terminology to get accurate results.


When I speak into my microphone, whatever sound is being sent into my headphones, is also directly sent to the microphone and outputted upon transmit.

This means that it's not a case of the sound coming out of the headphones, then travelling to the microphone, it's actually going straight to the microphone instead.

All I've come up with so far, is a suggestion to mute the microphone input via Windows. Though that seems to render the microphone useless.
