Windows 10: HDD to SSD upgrade no bootable device found issue

Hi , I recently upgraded my hard drive from a HDD to a SSD on starting up my pc I was faced with a no Boot bootable device found issue , I tried all the steps in the Dell website , the last step being to reinstall Windows, I placed my usb in a nd started reinstalling windows when I faced a memory issue , the diskpart being 2 and the primary disk part not having enough m memory to download windowswell anyways that's what I understood . I used command prompt to clear the the diskpart , on rebooting the device my Windows installation usb is no longer being recognised by the device , is their any

Upgraded Windows Transfer from HDD to SSD

Hi

My windows was upgraded from 8 to 10 on my laptop few years back. I was trying to get the HDD replaced with SSD. During the copy process, the technician said windows cannot be moved to SSD as it is an upgraded version from 8 to 10.

Kindly guide if there is a possibility to copy the windows to SSD ? If so, please suggest the steps.

 

Automatic repair while booting from hdd and installing windows on ssd.

1. Migrated windows from hdd to ssd
   
2. Formatted hdd
   
3. Prioritised boot from ssd in bios
   
4. Turned on the pc
   
5. Automatic repair
   

To deal with this I select boot from a device > then EFI USB device > it says no bootable USB detected, select from these drives > there are few options including the newly installed ssd > I select ssd > then it shows disk checking, press any key to stop > I stop it > windows then boots from ssd.

It very difficult to repeat all this everytime I turn on my pc. Please suggest a fix.

 

bootable device not found

Bootable device not found means, hdd or SSD is not detected in bios.

Other case, if hdd or SSD is detected under bios, but bootable device is not detected means, uefi partition is deleted or uefi partition is corrupted.

So In this case, boot with windows 11 bootable usb pendrive, recreate uefi partition .
