Windows 10: Having Problems with Updating my Windows Computer

So I have been trying to update my computer Dell Inspiron 15 it's used but in good condition for the most part. When I try to update the system, it says that my windows is up to date, but in the subtext it says I still need important security updates. I honestly don't know what to do after this.

Does this computer build have compatibility problems? Opinions welcomed!

Lets start with what you're going to use this computer for, not what you want to put in it.

Second rule: Define your budget.
Third rule: Pick parts.
Fourth rule: Review parts several times.
Fifth rule: Buy said parts.
Sixth rule: Build it.

You are on rule/step 1. Go through the list until you're done.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.
