  1. Having ongoing issues with audio..


    I produce music with ableton. I have an old laptop, but the RAM was upgraded to 16G and hard drive is SSD now. I've run through all of the troubleshooting guides in Ableton, and I'm also in contact with customer support. Now I'm having issues even when I'm not running ableton. I'm running sound through a Focusrite Audio Interface, and per their website, I've downloaded a latency monitoring program. This is the message I got when I ran it. I can't update the BIOS as far as I know, because this laptop is so old. I have optimized all the processor speed settings in windows to the best of my knowl

    As the above description is not clear, do let us know the following to assist you better with this issue:

    • What is the exactly issue you are facing with audio and how exactly are you trying to access it?
    • What exactly do you mean by: Have windows 10, and suddenly my audio stopped?
    • Have you made any changes to the operating system, prior to this issue?

    I suggest you to install all the pending updates and audio drivers and check if it helps.

    Step 1: I suggest you to update the audio drivers from Device Manager and check.

    Steps:


    • Right click on the Start
      button from the desktop and select Device Manager.

    • Expand Audio inputs and outputs, right click on
      High Definition Audio Device and click on Update driver software.

    • Also, try to search for the drivers with the help of model number of your computer from the Manufacturer’s website and install them.

    Step 2: I suggest you to install all the pending updates after upgrade to Windows 10.

    • Connect to the internet.
    • Press Windows key and type
      updates.
    • Click on Check for updates.
    • Under Windows Updates, click on
      Check for updates.
    • Try to install the updates being shown.

    Audio 'dip' issue with Windows 10

    Please follow these steps and check if that helps.



    Method1: I suggest you to run an audio troubleshooter.

    Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Sound. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Audio

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel

    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons

    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel

    • Run the playing Audio troubleshooter.



    Method2: Uncheck the enhancement feature in sound options.

    • Press X from the key board and select control panel.
    • Select sounds under control panel.
    • Go to advance setting and uncheck the enhancement feature and check if that helps.
