Has Trojan Emotet threat been removed or restored?

I have downloaded an exe.file and right before I clicked on the folder to save the file, my Windows Defender detected the trojan threat. When I opened the protection history, it didn't give me the action option to either remove or quarantine the file. It just stated that the status of the threat is "removed or restored". I'm confused and worried. What does this mean? Is the threat fully removed?

    :)

    Trojan Virus Threat Removal

I had a trojan virus threat appear in my Recycle bin folder after I cleared out my downloads folder from Mods etc I had downloaded for some older games.

Naturally, I immediately hit the quarantine button and headed to the rest of the security listings once that was done: one of these was 'remove'. Being the fool I am, I pressed it assuming that this meant that the threat would be removed from my PC, and that I'd be able to go back to working in peace.

However, I was informed that the infection had been removed from quarantine, and now I'm absolutely petrified I've got some nasty-**** virus lurking on my PC which is now going to cause havoc to my PC, as I don't know 100% if it's been removed or not. When I check my Windows defender now, all I get is a listing informing me it's been removed or restored. I'm assuming I'm not being an idiot when I think that what this means is that the file has either been removed (i.e. full on deleted) or it's been cleaned of the virus and that the file's 'restoration' means it's back on my PC in its clean, non-virus state? There's no listed exceptions under my security tab, so I'm hopeful I've not cocked it up in any capacity.

I've already run an offline scan (as I was told this is the most thorough and safest way to do so), and it's not come back with any reported threats. However, I'm obviously not too tech savvy, so I don't know if I'm missing anything and my PC is still at risk? Is there anything else I should do to guarantee the threat is gone?
