Windows 10: Guitar to USB not working

Guitar USB Input

I have a 1/4 jack to USB that I use to hook up my electric guitar to my computer. The signal from my guitar to the amplification software I use is fine, however, when I try to send the signal from the amplification software through my microphone to apps like Skype or Discord, the audio tends to slowly fade out if I keep it going for a prolonged amount of time. I have done some research and it seems windows audio enhancements may be the culprit, but that is usually the case with audio output, like into your headphones. I want to be able to play my guitar through my microphone so others can hear it loud and clear with no fade outs. Is it possible?
