Windows 10: Grey screen crashes in Forza Horizon 3 in Windows 10. ¿Is there a fix or solution?

I recently purchased and downloaded Forza Horizon 3 in its highest edition. After installing it, I tried playing it, and as soon as I had first control of a vehicle, the game suddenly froze, popped a grey screen and crashed. I tried doing it again, same thing, at the same point in game. Through my Nvidia control panel, I activated V-Sync for the game, which worked for me to get through to having my first car and being in free roaming mode. From this point on, I am unable to drive for more than 30 seconds before the game freezes and pops a grey screen, just to close automatically. I have tried multiple tips I've seen throughout Microsoft Support posts and Forza forums, such as resetting the game, doing a clean boot, the V-Sync trick I tried, deleting temporary files, making FH3 have the highest priority in task manager, deactivating my antivirus software, updating Windows and drivers, etc. Nothing has worked for more than 20 minutes, and now not even 30 seconds of play time are possible. My computer specs are well in the range of the recommended ones and I have no trouble maintaining 60 FPS at medium-high settings. The problem lies in the extreme stuttering and inevitable crash of the game.

I'm really considering getting a refund because it is very sad that this game I bought doesn't work.

Even though it isn't the latest Forza game, I'd really appreciate some support and troubleshooting as it has been on my videogame bucketlist since its very launch and now I can't even play it. I hope there's been some fix to this issue I've commonly seen in many other posts accross various support platforms and forums.

Forza Horizon 3 Crash on Gameplay

My forza horizon 3 crashes every now and then during the 30-40th minute of my Gameplay, it shows a grey screen and the crashes. Any help? (Running on Windows 10 Pro)

I suggest you refer and follow the steps mentioned in the article and check if that resolves the issue. Refer to the article

Forza Horizon 4 grey screen crash

I have tried all the steps above, none of them are working. I have spend over the 100 hours in Forza Horizon 4. Never had any issues. I played the 5th of May 2020 until 1 AM with my buddies. Since afternoon of 10 May 2020 I am getting this grey screen crash
and I have changed NOTHING to my PC. So frustrating and disappointed! I hope the next update might have a fix.
