  1. GPU Issue Troubleshooting

I recently purchased a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro laptop and everything was running smoothly until yesterday. To my surprise, I noticed that my dedicated GPU is no longer appearing in the Task Manager. Concerned, I investigated further and found an error in the Device Manager stating: 'Windows has halted this device because it has reported problems Code 43.'In an attempt to resolve the issue, I've taken several steps. Initially, I reinstalled the Nvidia drivers by downloading them directly from the official Nvidia website. Additionally, I ensured that all other drivers were up to date by downloadin

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

Windows update: one PCIe slot and one GPU kaput

Memtest86 is good, but no RAM tester can detect all possible RAM failures. I would suggest that you adopt a slow and careful step-by-step approach to troubleshooting this clear hardware issue.

I would suggest that you strip the PC to the bare minimum. Unplug all external devices except monitor, mouse, and keyboard. You've already removed the GPU, so remove all but one RAM stick (and try other RAM sticks too). Remove unnecessary PCIe cards (extra USB ports cards, WiFi cards, for example). If it fails in as stripped-down version as you can achieve then I'd look at the PSU, and then the motherboard.

This isn't a software issue though.

    New FF - passwords

    Hi:

If that setting is already enabled, then I suggest as the next troubleshooting step might be Mozilla Safe Mode (not to be confused with Windows Safe Mode)):

    • Please report back and let us know the outcome, as it will dictate the next steps.
    • Also: please tell us what AV/AM/firewall programs are you running on this system?

    Thanks,
