There were corrections made on the C: drive in the volume bitmap (Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB)
The other drives had some cleaning.

Please post a new zip today and whenever there is a new BSOD:

OK, perhaps overkill, but I already did a chkdsk again last night on my c-drive. Here are the results:

    I first did step 7:
I downloaded avastclear with the link provided. According to the instruction on the avast site, I rebooted in safe mode and started avastclear.exe

    However:
After login, I got this [system error] message:

Frequent and random appearing BSOD 'internal power error'. [IMG]

Then I starten avastclear and received these 2 error messages:

Frequent and random appearing BSOD 'internal power error'. [IMG]

As this didn't work, I rebooted normally, and uninstalled avast the normal way with "add/remove programms".

AV products often leave residual software that requires the use of the manufacturers uninstall software.
Please use the Avast contact us link to get help with the Avast error messages so that there is no residual software.
Official Avast Support | Contact Form
If there are no further BSOD after 2 weeks of computer stability you could reinstall Avast.
If there are recurrent BSOD then you will need to uninstall Avast and find an alternative AV.
If there are no recurrent BSOD then you can continue using Avast.
Having sufficient time (2 weeks) to evaluate the computer stability/instability is important so that there are few confounding factors.

I do not seem to have a AMD storage controller driver...

Update: I successfully used avastclear to remove avast files in safe mode. (Still got the system error msg though, when I logged into windows)

Frequent and random appearing BSOD 'internal power error'.

To find misbehaving drivers there is a tool that stimulates them to produce BSOD.
The bsod can then be debugged to find the driver.
The latest bsod have displayed a driver that should be fixed by windows updates.
So with more bsod we may be able to find the cause of the bsod and fix drivers/hardware.

    Before using windows driver verfier:
    1) backup all files to another drive or to the cloud
    2) make a backup image using Macrium and place the backup image onto another drive
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free
    3) make a brand new restore point
    4) learn the windows advanced troubleshooting menu options and commands to turn off windows driver verifier.

Many of the drive testing software that we regularly use are not able to test some of the Samsung drives.
The Samsung software could display results that were missing on HD Tune.
Click on SMART in the upper right and click on optimization performance and benchmark performance to run through the full tests on the drive and display result images into the thread.
In comparison the HD Tune was flat line on the benchmark and empty on the Health.
Please update the steps in post #22.

*Smile I will try to do this during this weekend.

I also didn't come round into doing steps 10 and 11 from post #8. Should I still do these?

There were multiple entries in the event logs: Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered. If you are having recurrent BSOD then you can update the drivers now and if not having recurrent BSOD steps 10 and 11 can be done if the graphics drivers are misbehaving when using windows driver verifier.

In device manager please click on view > show hidden devices > expand disk drives > post images related to the Samsung drive > properties > driver tab > click on driver details; properties > details tab > property drop down menu > hardware IDs
