  1. found.000 folder after do chkdsk /f . How to relocate files?

After a normal shutdown, when I turned on again at the next day it couldn't boot because "error a disk error occurred". After verifying that there was no physical problem sata cables, ram, etc.; I entered on a Linux OS that I had on a USB. When I entered in disk partitioner it was not mounted, and the information it that S.M.A.R.T provided recommended doing a "chkdsk /f" for damaged sectors, which brings us to where I am now. I use another USB with windows installer to open a command prompt and do "Chkdsk /f", it completes correctly reference image so I reboot. When I try to boot Windows

    Invisible found.000 folder after chkdsk

I ran a chkdsk because I downloaded some files with some apparently corrupt data.

I want to know the names of these files so I Can re-download okay versions.

A chkdsk puts the corrupt ones in a 'lost and found': "Lost and found is located at \found.000"

The folder exists in D:, but cannot be seen even in explorer, with hidden folders shown.

When visiting D:\FOUND.000 via explorer I get the folder is not accessible. Access is denied.

I can view the folder dir via cmd with admin privileges, there are some files I was able to recover but I want to get hold of the whole folder and using cmd gives a dead end when I get these . dirs:

    Directory of D:\found.000\dir0000.chk

    21/07/17 23:38 <DIR> .

    21/07/17 23:38 <DIR> ..

How can I access the folder when windows is hiding it further?

    Invisible found.000 folder after chkdsk

Perfect answer, I can see the files now, thanks.

As a side, is it possible to view what index and directory files are for my system? Or is there any other information on these deleted files and folders?

I don't think every file that was deleted is shown in found.000, so if I could find them and re-download that would be great.

    From the chkdsk:

Stage 2: Examining file name linkage ...

found.000 folder after do chkdsk /f . How to relocate files?

    chkdsk c: /F

It might be an error on the drive. We suggests that you follow the troubleshooting steps below:

    • Run Disk Cleanup utility to clear your junk files.
    • Open an elevated CMD type sfc /scannow and hit Enter to run the System File Checker.
    • Once the scan is completed, restart your computer. Remember to exit ChkDsk
      during boot.
    • Next, again open CMD as admin type
      Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
and hit Enter to repair the Windows image.
    • Now see if ChkDsk able to complete the scan.

Note: Before doing the steps, make sure you save a back up of your files.
