Windows 10: Forza Horizon 4: 'Feature Locked: There was an error communicating with the server. Please...

I've been trying to play Forza Horizon 4 Online but whenever I press play online to connect to 'Horizon Life' it says 'Feature Locked: There was an error communicating with the server. Please Try Again Later'. I'm able to do other online things such as the Forzathons and look at online tunes, Livery's, auctions, everything except actually playing with others. Sometimes it'll randomly work and let me on but it has a habit of disconnecting.


Things I have done:

Open Xbox Live Ports on my router and firewall

Changed Teredo Servers

Update the Game and Windows

Updated Network Drivers

Connected via Ethernet

Signed out and back into the Microsoft Store


I'm running out of ideas of what to try.

Forza Horizon 4 will not unistall

Hi Titus,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I'd suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Click on Start menu, and look for Forza Horizon 4. Right click on it and select
Uninstall.

You can also uninstall the game through settings by following the below steps.

1. Press Windows key + I together to open Settings.

2. Click on Apps > Apps & features.

3. Click on Forza Horizon 4.

4. Select Uninstall.

Let us know how it goes. I will keep working with you until it's fixed.
