    I found my old batch file that originally worked fine under Windows Version 10.0.19045.2364, but not works under Version 10.0.19045.2846 now.     Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

    If you can't install it from windows update you can try to install it manually, it's the same KB5015684 obtained with windows update.

    start button behavior win7 vs. win10


    • in win7, pushing the start button and typing would bring up (immediately) a list of hits among the installed programs.
    • in win10, doing the above retrieves search results from the internet (with some latency), and only then brings up any installed programs (with even more latency).

    Is there a way to make Win10 revert to Win7 behavior in this respect?
