Windows 10: Folders I had manually customised suddenly all reverted

Quite recently during a Windows update perhaps all my folders, which I had previously customised as "General" because that's the way they are useful to me, reverted to whatever-Windows-thinks-they-should-be based presumably on file types. This is exactly what I don't want. I want a folder of music files to look like a folder of documents/spreadsheets/images/whatever, and this is how I have set up my workspace for many years and it works for me. I know I can change the folders back to something useful to me ie General type, via the properties page for the folders. However I have hundreds

Customising Folder Icons

I would like to add more icons to the existing list of icons for customising folders.

How to do it?

 

Windows folder view customisation is lost on reopening Windows.

I have customised some folders in "Pictures" to display one of the photos from within, but it keeps reverting to the default folder view when i reopen Windows. How do I make Windows retain the customising.

 

Customise Folder is Not Working

Hello, i recently noticed that my customise folder options are not working anymore and i have to manually change the columns of each folder instead of applying the settings to the folders i want via the customise tab.

For example instead of size, date modified etc i want to make folders for music but nothing changes when i apply via the customise tab so i have to go into the folder and manually select contributing artist, album, title etc

Worse yet this also resets so in my music folder it defaults back to date modified, size etc when i want the columns for music, very annoying especially when you have loads of folders full of music
