Windows 10: Fn and multimedia keys swap as well as ports are in active after hibernation or sleep.

Good day, any assistance will be appreciated.Any time I hibernate or sleep my laptop, and i turn it back on, my function and multimedia keys get swapped. My USB ports also doesn’t work. I have to restart get into bios then reset to factory default before it comes back the minute I hibernate or sleep I haven’t checked shut down yet I have to repeat all over again it’s a pain in the b**t.

How to swap "fn" key with left "ctrl" key on generic desktop

I found that section in Half Teach mode, and I could press the "fn" key. However, when I selected anything at all in the drop-down list, I got the error box above:

Sleep Mode Issue - FN Keys and Power Settings not working after sleeping

I am writing to bring your attention to a recent observation regarding the issue we've been investigating.

Recently, I noticed a new symptom related to the problem at hand.

When I hibernate the laptop instead of putting it to sleep, the issue does not manifest itself. Moreover, hibernation seems to act as a remedy for the problem that occurs after the laptop has been in sleep mode.

To provide further context:

1. When I put the laptop in sleep mode, the FN keys and the "sleep when closing lid" feature cease to function.
   
2. However, upon hibernating the laptop afterward, all these functions are restored, and the laptop behaves as expected.
   

I believe this observation could be a significant clue in pinpointing the root cause of the issue. It seems that hibernation has a positive impact on the functionality, whereas sleep mode triggers the problem.

I wanted to share this finding with you, as it may aid in narrowing down the investigation and ultimately lead us to a resolution.

 

Modern Standby Disabled causes FN keys to stop working back from sleep

I would only expect it to work with keyboards that have a Fn symbol on the Escape key [or perhaps on another key].

But since I never got that far when I tried disabling S0, I did not get the chance to try it in those circumstances [I only tried it in normal working].
