Windows 10: Floating taskbar in the middle of the screen

Hello, below is an example of my problem:This is a duplicate taskbar that I cannot get rid of. I use an external monitor with my laptop, usually set to extend the laptop display - I will get three taskbars, one normal on my laptop, one normal on my monitor and a second one which appears either in front of or behind the normal monitor taskbar. The duplicate taskbar is partially functioning - I can select some of the windows that are displayed as open, but the taskbar is not up to date, so if I open multiple windows of an application, then the two normal taskbars will display them as open, but t

I exactly have the same problem as you are having right now. When ever i extend my monitor, my taskbar is floating in the middle of the screen, and my wallpaper on the 2nd monitor is not centered. any luck in finding a solution with this problem?

open task manager close explorer.exe and "run new task" type into the input "explorer.exe" and hit enter. Things should be normal.

 

Windows 10 Taskbar sometimes on top of full-screen applications

I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
• In the search box, type Settings
  
• SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
• Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
  "(Recommended)”.

Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

• Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
• If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
  
• If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.
