Windows 10: Flash Drive not showing up in Device Manager or File Explorer

I have a sandisk ultra flash drive that I made the mistake of plugging into a printer so that it could scan files directly on to it. I should have known better as printers always find a way to make your job harder, but, it ended up corrupting the flash drive and now I'm stuck with all of my work documents inaccessible. I really need to get this flash drive back up and running so any suggestions would be really appreciated. I have attempted to delete the registry files that were specifically for the sandisk, I have attempted to uninstall and reinstall usb controllers, and I have attempted to us

USB flash drive(s) not showing in File Explorer

Windows 10 Pro, 1909 build 18363.720, not seeing this issue myself, however I had a problem with a flash drive showing files I had deleted as if they were still on the drive, went into Device Manager, show hidden devices and uninstalled all greyed out drives under disk drives and storage volumes which has done the trick for that issue.

 

Internal SATA drive show on Device Manager But not on Explorer listing

I used up all the allowed space in the title there - couldn't put a question mark on the end.



Wonder why I can't see the WD hard drive I just hooked up to a SATA port on my H170 board?

There are currently two seagate drive SATA connected and the DVD drive. And an external Seagate on USB.

I put the WD in and I can see it in device manager but nowhere else.

By default, Windows will recognize an external hard drive or a flash drive as “Local Disk” if the storage device was not configured and has no label on it. To resolve your concern, we recommend that you may put a label on your storage devices using
the Disk Management Tool in Computer Management. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Right-click the Start button and select Computer
  Management.
• Under Storage, select Disk Management.
• Physical drive letters are shown including the partition, right-click on each drive and select
  Properties.
• Name your storage device or put a label on it.
• Click Apply.
• Use File Explorer to view your external devices or flash drive with a label on it.
