Windows 10: fingerprint setup completion issue

hello there, Whenever I try to set up fingerprint authentication on my Dell Latitude 7390, I get a message that says "Sorry, something went wrong" precisely after touching the fingerprint sensor 4 times. The 5th one always produces this error and exits the setup. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the driver and nothing changed. I don't have any access or work account set up Can anyone help with this?

I have same issue with my laptop HP DV6 Pavilion.WIndows hello finger print setup is not working even after this above solution .When i setup finger print sensor i recieve error something went wrong.

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the finger print driver and check if that helps to resolve the issue.

Please follow the below steps.

• 
  Delete the fingerprints you already registered.
  
• 
  Press Windows Key + R Key.
  
• 
  Then type “devmgmt.msc” and press
  Enter.
  
• 
  Uninstall the current driver
  the current diver under "Biometric devices".
  
• 
  You maybe have to click the "discover new hardware" symbol in the device manager.

Windows Hello Fingerprint Setup issue.

I am using Dell Inspiron 5580 with Windows 10.

Recently my laptop got repaired by Dell due to some technical issues. After the repair work got completed I tried to login the Fingerprint sensor wasn't able to detect the fingerprint. Although the fingerprints were added earlier and even used it before
the laptop was repaired. So I thought that there might be any Windows update which needs to installed or there might be any driver update from Dell needs to be updated. Then only the Fingerprint sensor would work.

I checked for both Windows and Dell updates. There were few updates from Windows which I got installed. However there were no updates from Dell regarding any driver. I have tried the troubleshooting steps such as removing the fingerprint which were added
earlier, uninstalling and reinstalling the fingerprint driver and restarting the system. However still the same issue persists. I am able to setup the Windows hello pin.

Please help me to set it up successfully.
