How to Find MAC Address on Your Windows 10 PC


Information A MAC (media access control) address , also called physical address, is a unique identifier assigned to network interfaces for communications on the physical network segment.

This tutorial will show you how to find the MAC address of the network adapters or network interface cards (NICs) on your Windows 10 PC.

OPTION ONE [/i] To Find MAC Address of Wi-Fi Adapter in Settings
1. Open Settings, and click/tap on the Network & Internet icon.

2. Click/tap on Wi-Fi on the left side, click/tap on the Hardware properties link on the left side. (see screenshot below)



3. You will now see the MAC address (aka: Physical address) of the Wi-Fi adapter on your PC. (see screenshot below)








OPTION TWO [/i] To Find MAC Address of Ethernet Adapter in Settings
1. Open Settings, and click/tap on the Network & Internet icon.

2. Click/tap on Ethernet on the left side, click/tap on the listed Ethernet adapter name you want under Ethernet on the left side. (see screenshot below)



3. You will now see the MAC address (aka: Physical address) of the Ethernet adapter on your PC. (see screenshot below)








OPTION THREE [/i] To Find MAC Address using Get-NetAdapter Command in PowerShell
1. Open PowerShell.

2. Copy and paste the command below into PowerShell, and press Enter. (see screenshot below)
*Arrow get-netadapter
3. You will now see the MAC address (aka: Physical address) of all network adapters on your PC. (see screenshot below)








OPTION FOUR [/i] To Find MAC Address using Getmac Command in Command Prompt
1. Open a command prompt.

2. Copy and paste the command you want to use below into the command prompt, and press Enter. (see screenshot below)
*Arrow getmac /v /fo list

OR

*Arrow getmac /v
3. You will now see the MAC address (aka: Physical address) of all network adapters on your PC. (see screenshot below)











OPTION FIVE [/i] To Find MAC Address using IPConfig Command in Command Prompt
1. Open a command prompt.

2. Copy and paste the command below into the command prompt, and press Enter. (see screenshot below)
*Arrow ipconfig /all
3. You will now see the MAC address (aka: Physical address) of all network adapters on your PC. (see screenshot below)








OPTION SIX [/i] To Find MAC Address in Network Connection Details
1. Open the Control Panel (icons view), and click/tap on the Network and Sharing Center icon.

2. Click/tap on the Change adapter settings link on the left side. (see screenshot below)



3. Click/tap on the network connection you want to see the MAC address for. (see screenshot below)



4. Click/tap on the Details button. (see screenshot below)



5. You will now see the MAC address (aka: Physical address) of the network connection on your PC. (see screenshot below)

Change Mac address

The MAC address is like your devices ID ,so short of being able to change very core settings ,you're not gonna be able to do anything unless I'm mistaken.

Maybe you don't need to change your MAC address, what is it you're trying to accomplish?

Spoiler: I found this change mac w/o root I can't say whether or not this is an effective method it's just a method I found after searching this topic .
I cant say whether or not it is "safe" or if the software required is free. use at your own risk.

Change MAC Address of Android Devices without Root Access

Go to Settings>About Phone>Select Status and then make a note of the current MAC Address of your Android device.
Download the Android Terminal Emulator application from the Google Play Store. You can directly navigate to the Android Terminal Emulator Google Play Store download page by clicking here.
Launch the above application on your Android device and then type “IP LINK SHOW”.
Note the interface name of your Android device from the list.
And then type in the command below,
ip link set interfacename XX:XX:XX:YY:YY:YY
Replace interfacename with the Interface Name of your network that you noted in Step 4 above and XX:XX:XX:YY:YY:YY with the MAC Address you wish to set.
And that’s it. The MAC Address of your Android device will now be modified/changed.

Of course it says it is a HW address list

Unmasking a spoofed MAC address

even if you got it, not much you can do. But yeah the only MAC in the packets would be the spoofed one. Best way to go is just keep filtering for an allowed list, and put encryption on your wireless so no1 can sniff other mac addresses.
