    File Explorer menu has two 3 dot ellipsis icons, second one does nothing


    Hi, I've got a strange problem with my File Explorer in Windows 11 where, the menu has two of the 3 dot ellipsis icons, The first is in what I assume is the correct position, because it works when you click on it. The second, is on the far right, and does nothing when it's clicked on.Hovering over either of the button displays the "See more" tooltip. I've already run:SFC /ScanNowandDISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealthand both completed with no issues.Does anyone have any suggestions other than a clean install? I will do that at some point, but right now it's not a practical solutio

    File explorer icon from taskbar dissappears while working on it

    Hi,

    To assist you with your concern, we suggest you pin the File Explorer from the Start Menu by following these steps:

    • Click the Start Menu.
    • Right-click File Explorer.
    • Choose Pin to taskbar.

    Worth mentioning is pinning the File Explorer that appears in the 'All Apps' list under 'Windows System' of the 'Start Menu' to the Task Bar using the 'right click' menu. You might find that works well for what you're looking for.

    Files & Folders View as medium or large Icons

    To assist you better, we would suggest that you try to follow the steps below:

    • Open File Explorer.
    • Once you are viewing a folder, right click an empty space within the File Explorer window and select View from the dialogue menu, then choose Large or any icon you wanted to use. Alternatively, you can use the following shortcut keys on the keyboard to
      change your View settings:
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 1 Extra Large
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 2 Large icons
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 3 Medium Icons
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 4 Small Icons
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 5 List
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 6 Details
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 7 Tiles
    • CTRL + SHIFT + 8 Content
    3. Once you have the view set, you can make it the default view for

    every folder.

    4. Click Apply, then click OK.
