Windows 10: Figured out how to type the Polish character ą in WordPerfect 2021 after it had stopped...

Using Windows 11, it became impossible to type the Polish character ą when I pressed the "right Alt" key and the "a" simultaneously, although I had changed my preference in the language bar to Polish Programmers. I had no problem typing the same character in other programs. None of the solutions I found on the Microsoft site for people with this problem concerning the same character--who were using a different program than WordPerfect--worked for me. I noticed that at least a few people who had this problem with the same character while using a Microsoft program did not get a resolution on th

One Polish character has stopped working Ł

If you mean did I set my system language to Polish, no. It's actually in Irish. What I do is use the Windows key + spacebar to cycle through the keyboards as I need.

This was the same setup when I could get that character. And it is only this one Polish character that has stopped working. Polish has many diacritics, and using the keyboard now I can type: ń ż ź ą ę, all are working fine.

In my new PC, which I haven't changed to Irish, system-wise, it is the same story.

 

Installing WordPerfect 2021

I'm running the latest version of 64-bit Windows 11 Pro II have WordPerfect X7 installed, but just bought an installation DVD of WordPerfect 2021 Home and Student, and I'm having trouble installing it. I get to the screen headed END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT, but when I then click on "Agree," nothing happens.

I tried installing it on my wife's computer, which runs 64-bit Windows 10 Home. There, when I get to the screen headed END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT, and then click on "Agree," it proceeds and asks for the serial number . I didn't enter it and aborted the installation, since I want to use that serial number for my computer.

I tried both booting my computer in safe mode and doing a clean boot. Neither worked. Pressing "Agree" still does nothing.

Any suggestions on what might be wrong or how to go about installing it?

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall WordPerfect x7and check if it fixes the issue. Follow the steps below to uninstall
WordPerfect x7:

• Press Windows key + X.
• Click on Programs and Features.
• Look for WordPerfect x7and right click on it and click on
  uninstall.
• Reboot the computer after uninstall is complete and try to reinstall it.
