Windows 10: Favorites and Quick Access missing from File Explorer in Windows 11 after update

I just had an update to my Windows 11 Dell Laptop and now I do not see Favorites in File Manager. When I view file manager and see the Home Icon and when I click on it, there is nothing. I have performed searches that have yielded zero results. When I try to save a folder for quick access by right clicking on it, nothing changes. I did notice that when I upload a file attachment to an email I can see the quick access folders that I previously saved. 24 hours ago, this was not a problem but now it is. Can someone at Microsoft please contact me about this?Thank-you!Chuck

Quick Access Crashes Explorer

Quick Access is a new feature in Windows 10 File Explorer navigation pane which helps users quickly navigate to locations which are frequently used. However, if you're having issues with Quick Access, you can try to disable and enable it. To disable Quick
Access, follow these steps:

• Type File Explorer Option in the search box.
• Click on File Explorer Options.
• Under General tab, choose This PC in the Open File Explorer to: drop down menu.
  
• Uncheck Show recently used files in Quick access and
  Show frequently use folders in Quick access.
• Click Apply an OK.
• Restart the computer and re-enable Quick access.

Let us know how it goes after performing the suggested troubleshooting steps.

 

After a Windows 11 Update the Quick Access List in File explorer is missing

After a Windows Update the Quick Access List in File explorer and within Windows File save as etc is missing.

If I go into File Explorer and Folder Options the drop down list no longer includes Quick Access

 

Why do pinned or favorited files keep disappearing from Quick Access and Favorites?

Pinned and favorited files kept disappearing from Quick Access and Favorites in recent update of Windows 10. Updated to Windows 11 and same problem remains.

Pinning files to Quick Access is successful, then a day later the files are no longer in Quick Access. Same issue with Favorites.
