Windows 10: "Failed to connect to host" Astroneer

Hello! I am on PC and I have been having an issue trying to connect to someone playing Astroneer on XB1. I am on a strict NAT type, and cannot change because I am on my college's wifi. My friend is on a open NAT type at home, but we are still receiving an error when trying to connect to one another's worlds. I thought that if one of us was using an open NAT type that It would allow us to connect but apparently not. What can I do to fix this and allow for me to connect to his world on astroneer? I play astroneer on Windows 10. my friend plays on Xbox 1. I can join him successfully but when he tries to join me it said : failed to join to host: host server could not be found," plz help me I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling

To help you further, we recommend following the steps below to stop Service host (svchost.exe) that keeps on downloading:

• Right click on the Start menu.
• Click Run.
• On the Run box, type in services.msc then click Ok.
• On the Services window that will show up, right click on the Background Intelligent Transfer then click on
  Properties.
• Under the General tab, look for Service status, click Stop then click
