  1. External Screens on USB-C

Hi,I have a HP 830 G8 notebook, at my home-office I use a Sounix USB-C HDMI splitter, system recognizes the screens but I have no visual on both HPE232 screens. They do flicker on and off sometimes. The splitter is also externally powered. If I use a HP HDMI splitter and connect HDMI directly to my notebook, the screens work fine.Tested it with both USB-C ports but it doesn't work.I never had issues before with the Sounix splitter on a HP 650 G9 notebook. And yes, already changed the cables, changed the connections of the cables in the splitters, normally drivers are up to date.Thank you for any

    :)

Toshiba External USB drives not showing in Explorer or Disk Management Plug-in

    Thank you for the update.

Looks like your system is unable to detect your external hard drive. Let's see if scanning for new hardware will fix the issue. Follow these steps:

    • Press the Windows key to launch the Start menu.
    • Type in Device Manager and press Enter.
    • Under Device Manager, select Action tab > Scan for hardware changes.
    • Wait for your system to install the generic driver for your device and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue still persists, we suggest that you perform the following recommendations below:

    • Plug in your external USB drives to other USB device port of your system.
    • Use other USB cables for your external device to connect to your system.

Keep us updated and we will be glad to assist you further.

DisplayLink Demonstrates USB-C Docking Experience That "Just Works"

I'm glad they finally cleared up that you could use USB 3.1 Type-A connector the same way you could use USB 3.1 Type-C connector. For a while they had me worried I could connect screen only to USB 3.1 Type-C port.

Just when I thought we will have only two connectors (Type-A and Type-C) they brought up Type-B connector. Instead of Type-B they should use Type-A connector which is as robust as Type-B.
Well done, you screwed up again and now we will have 3 USB connectors in the future instead of 2.
