    External Disc Drive wont recognise an empty CD-R


    I bought an external disc drive off ebay with the hopes of burning some music to a bunch of blank discs i have lying around.The disc drive won’t recognise that it has any blank discs in it, and when the disc has something on it, any attempts to burn additional things to it result in a ‘Please insert a writeable disc’ pop up. Any ideas on how to fix this? Failing that, does anybody know reputable sellers on ebay or other sites?

    external disc drive

    I have an external disc drive which my laptop recognizes once plugged in. However upon selecting the external disc drive (D) and inserting a cd nothing happens and I cannot name the cd in the drive, open it or upload it. It's obvious that I'm missing
    something and require technical help. Anyone with a solution or suggestion? Thank you.

    CD-R cannot view disc

    I have photo's on CD-R disc that I can't view. What steps do I have to go through to view CD-R disc not burn onto a CD-R disc?
