Windows 10: Expected Time for WSL1 to WSL2 Conversion

I hope this message finds you well.I am currently in the process of converting a WSL1 instance to WSL2, but it seems to be taking much longer than expected. The system displayed a message saying that "this may take a few minutes," but it has now been running for a few days without completion. I would like to inquire about the expected duration for such a conversion and whether the process is proceeding normally.Here are the details of my setup:The WSL1 instance is located on a separate disk from the C drive the disk is an SSD with around 500GB of capacity.The size of the root directory is ap

WSL2 - Upgrade / Installation

When trying to upgrade to wsl2 I get this error:

When trying to install from scratch I get this error:

I have hyper-v, wsl, vm platform features enables and virtualization is also enabled in bios.

my windows version is: 21H2 OS Build 1904

Tried reinstalling a couple of times already, tried all available version of ubuntu (both from microsoft store and through wsl, available on wsl --list --online WSL1 is running properly but I need wsl2 to work with docker desktop

 

WSL2 for windows

I have failed into installing WSL for Windows. I have read here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win.../install-win10 how to do it, and at step 4:

1. Download the latest package:
   
   • WSL2 Linux kernel update package for x64 machines

   If you're using an ARM64 machine, please download the ARM64 package instead. If you're not sure what kind of machine you have, open Command Prompt or PowerShell and enter: systeminfo | find "System Type".

Hi, does anyone know if windows365 enterprise cloud PC support WSL2?

WSL support is mentioned in this article Set up virtualization-based workloads on your Windows 365 Cloud PC. , but it doesn't specify if it's WSL1 or WSL2.
