Windows 10: EVENT ID 7031 - The DNS Client service terminated unexpectedly.

Hey guys!I've been having some issues over the past few days, which seems to have been fixed changed the rams from 2 and 4 slots to 1 and 3, I do not think it's relevant but just in case I added this information. In any case, that was causing my multiple issues in event log and giving me BSOD. After that was changed everything seemed to be working well, until tonight, when I woke up to:"The DNS Client service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 times. Event ID 7031 Service Control Manager


Hi,

I check and found this annoying code in the Event Viewer...

The Event ID code is the same but with different explanation and usually come in group..This happened to me usually after restart....

1. Event ID 7031.... The Sync Host_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 10000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

2. Event ID 7031....The Contact Data_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 10000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

3. Event ID 7031....The User Data Storage_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 10000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

All these are on the Error Level... not warning...

Anybody know what happen and how to solve this???

 

Same sequence of Event ID: 7031 errors show up in my event log daily.

The following sequence of events shows up in my event log daily, it seems to have no impact on my PC at all, but seeing it constantly has me worried.

The sequence is as follows appearing earliest in the event log to most recent, however all 4 of the events take place at the exact same time:

The User Data Storage_a146fc9 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 10000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

EVENT ID: 7031

The User Data Access_a146fc9 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 10000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

Any ideas on what this error is and how to fix it?

Anyone know how to fix Event ID 7031?


Hi all

a fix would be nice
I turned one off "User data Access" in the reg "startup to 4 from 2" to see what would
die, it broke the accounts in the mail app could not see the accounts
or add one. reset the reg entry back to 2 and the app works again
accounts returned
