Windows 10: Ethernet connection stops working while playing a game

I’ve been having a frustrating issue with my PC while gaming. The games run fine for a few minutes, but then they freeze and crash randomly. I’ve noticed that when this happens, the ethernet icon changes to an offline symbol and switches to WiFi. When I try to manually disconnect and reconnect the cable, the PC doesn’t recognize it until I restart the computer. This started happening the day I preloaded the early access for BO6 on Game Pass. While playing MW3 also on Game Pass, the game crashed, and I saw that the ethernet connection dropped. I initially thought it might be the cable or the

To better understand the query, please answer the following questions:

• After restarting is your computer in normal mode or not?
• Are you getting any error message?

I suggest you to reset the modem\ router and check if the Ethernet connection works or not.

When i m using a game with high CPU my internet connection stopped working

The services that run when you play games may be interfering with the network services on the computer, resulting to this problem. To have a better idea about the cause of this, kindly answer the following:

• Are you playing web-based games when this issue happens?
• What error message do you get when you lose the network connection?

We suggest you run the Network Adapter troubleshooter in Control Panel to identify what causes the problem. It may also fix the issue since Windows troubleshooters are designed to correct the problems they find on the system. Follow these steps to run the
suggested tool:

• Click on Start.
• Type Troubleshooting then press Enter.
• On the left panel, click on View all.
• Choose Network Adapter and allow the troubleshooter to run.
