    Error During Windows 11 Instalation Setup has failed to validate product key


    I am trying to upgrade from windows 10 to 11 my device supports all win11 requirements except the processor requirement I am running a intel i5 7th gen 7400. I tried to update with both the direct windows media creation / direct iso as well as creating a usb with rufus I want to upgrade to win 11 withour perforrming a full format The installer gives me a Setup has failed to Validate Product Key message.I am running Windows 10 Pro edition with a retail key.

    Setup failed to validate the product key

    I am trying to upgrade windows 7 premium to windows 10. when I run setup I get the message:

    Setup failed to validate the product key.

    I have run the troubleshooter and get the following error message:

    windows update error 0x800F081

    any help greatly appreciated...
