Windows 10: Error 8024402f while updating Defender Definitions Win 11

Hi,Running Windows 11 Home 64 bit and have been getting this error on my laptop since the last two days. Weird thing is that I've also got a PC using a different microsoft account there with Windows 11 which is updating defender definitions without any issues. Windows Updates install without any issues. I've done a complete reformatting and reinstallation of Windows 11 on my laptop, however, even on a freshly installed copy of Windows 11, the problem comes back after the 1st definition update. Windows updates install without any issues however.I've tried this already but didn't work - https:

You tried setting to not get updates then rebooting and then turning it back on ?


I did come across this too, but only gives a MAYBE fix LMAO.

Have you tried the Win 7 trouble shooter what sits in the Control Panel Options.???

If the troubleshooter didn’t detect any issues, I would suggest you to check if the Windows update service is running. Refer to these steps:

1. Press Windows key +R, type “services.msc”
   
2. Locate the Windows update service and check if it is running.
   
3. If not, right click on the service and click start to start the service.
   

Have you tried to search for Updates at a later point of time or the next day ???

These issues can relate to the Windows Servers having a issue or being overloaded.

Try a few hours later or the nest day.

If the issue persists.
