    I am running an exe that I have run previously on Windows 10 and Windows 11 computers. I just received the latest new Dell laptop, and have completed all Windows updates. I tried to install the program and hit the following error: Error 1310.Error Writing to File: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\DPFpUI.dll.mui. Verify that you have access to that directory.I have tried the following:Restarting the laptopTurned off Windows DefenderChanged User Account Settings to NeverUpdated the Security Settings on the directoryInstall as AdministratorInstall from PowerShellFactory Reset to start the process ove

    Download "AdvancedRun" from Nirsoft and start CMD.exe as TrustedInstaller (Instructions are here).

    In the TrustedInstaller Command Prompt, run:

    • icacls c:\windows\system32\en-us /grant administrators:F
    • icacls c:\windows\system32\en-us /grant "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM":F
    • icacls c:\windows\system32\es-cl /grant administrators:F
    • icacls c:\windows\system32\es-cl /grant "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM":F
    (For each command, you should see the message "Successfully processed 1 files; Failed processing 0 files" in the output.)

    Error 1310

    I am trying to install Adobe Acrobat through a direct download.

    I get the following error message:

    Error 1310.Error writing to file:

    C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\msvcr110.dll. Verify that you have access to that directory.

    I can click Retry or cancel.

    If I click Retry, the error just keeps popping up.

    If I click Cancel, the installation stops.

    Can I either fix this or verify I have access to the directory?
